This is an album that was put together in retrospect, with songs I recorded here and there, at mine and friends’ home studios, on four tracks, with bands that always fell apart too early. These songs, written and recorded while growing up and failing to have a band that could last, are songs that never ended up seeing the light of day.
It always felt like a waste that these songs were never released in any form. When I cleaned off the digital dust and listened to them all once more, I felt they accidentally told a story about my growing up, and they were more decent than I remembered. So, being that we live in this age of the internet, I thought, what the hell, put them out there.
They are imperfect, unpolished, some even half done, but that’s what speaks the most for them I think. These never before released, “growing up” songs, finally needed some release, if only for my own sanity. I hope anyone listening finds some sort of joy in them, and remembers and cherishes that young fool, that young punk, within all of us that’s just trying to figure it out.
